BOSTON -- Two baggage handlers who worked at Logan Airport have been arrested, accused of stealing valuables from passengers' checked baggage.
The arrests follow a month-long investigation into luggage thefts by the Massachusetts State Police and Massport.
The two workers, identified as Lashawn Fontenot, 25, of Lynn, and Joshua Wright, 25, of Mattapan, stole high-dollar items, including cash, cameras, tobacco and electronics worth thousands of dollars from checked luggage, investigators said.
The men work for a baggage-handling company, which has been cooperating in the probe, investigators said. The men were arrested Tuesday at Logan.

(10,191 posts)1. Sad to say
Ground-level corruption is so endemic to the culture of Boston and the North Shore that I's be surprised if nobody was rifling luggage at Logan.
