Who agrees

I think most have heard rumors Of Republican changes to Social Security and Medicare. Some right-wing senators have used the term starve the beast. Both programs need to be better funded, but nothing is happening. I think the game plan is to shift to private retirement accounts and health insurance. The scare tactic will be Social Security and Medicare will go broke and people will lose most of the money deducted from their pay they were counting on for their senior years. Here comes the new plan, put the money into private retirement plans and medical saving accounts so in retirement you can buy your own health insurance. Who really benefits? Financial and insurance companies? The Republicans have a great plan and at least half the people in this country will support it. After all they supported Trump.

Just like those tax breaks for the rich will trickle down and pay for themselves.

Never buy into an idea that comes from someone that stands to make a lot of money on that idea.

CHANGE THE CAP

The cap on FICA was designed to be adjusted as incomes change over time. A little tweak makes it all solvent and can improve reimbursement.
Republi-cant's fight any change tooth and nail because the wealthy have to pay a little.

Democrats could campaign on this: Doesn't affect the lower wage earners and allows wealthy to continue to care for the less fortunate, unemployed and elderly as they have in the past.

Republi-cant's want to go after the SS-medicare treasure chest because right now it is 100% accountable and low overhead. If they take it away they can profit from it.
