Wanted: Thousands of Democrats in Red Oak Sunday "Covfefe with Joni" Ernst

For the second year in a row, Ernst kicks off her statewide tour in her home county. The senator appears at a "Coffee with Joni" event Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Montgomery County Family YMCA at 101 East Cherry Street in Red Oak.

WASHINGTON — Donald Trump may be struggling to improve his approval ratings, but Sen. Joni Ernst says she continues to stand behind the president.

“Probably 95 percent of the policies promoted by the president I’m still on board with,” Ernst told The World-Herald Thursday. “I am going to support my president. I do think he’s doing a good job.”

Ernst is talking out of both sides of her mouth.
