Special election to extend tax levy involving the Hinton Community School District
HINTON, Iowa (KTIV) - Residents in the Hinton, Iowa school district area will head to the polls on Tuesday, March 4 to decide whether to extend the current tax levy for another 10 years.
District officials say the renewed levy will be used for a variety of things like purchasing computers, repairing the roof, and more.
Currently, the levy is at the legal max of $1.34 per $1,000 of property value.
This means an extension will not raise taxes.
