Urbana city council special elections results announced
URBANA, Iowa (KCRG) - Two vacant seats on the Urbana city council have now been filled.
According to unofficial results from the Benton County auditor’s office, Randy Johnson and Scott Huber have been appointed to fill those seats.
Johnson won over temporary council member Shane Light by eight votes for a seat that expires this year.
Huber ran unopposed for the term that ends in 2027.
A group of citizens put together a petition to hold a special election to fill the spots.
