(50,787 posts)IA has had a few races that are nail biters in the past. It is seen as red but for a few votes here and there, we would still be purple. A few month ago the DCCC saw there was movement and dumped some money in IA (THANKFULLY). It's kind of sad these have been written off as red in the past. We lost the 2nd by 6 (yes, six) votes in 2020. Media ignored it because the orange anus took up all the media oxygen.
edited to add that Zach Nunn and MMM are colossal douche nozzles.

(13,005 posts)it was pretty friggin red when I was there - - and, honestly, I wouldn't have thought redistricting was going to help very much. And, yes - Obama - but then in honesty you have to look at the horror of the way IA treated of Biden and Hilary ... Neither of which offer anything like encouragement. And pretty hard to excuse (IMHO)
But I will bow to someone with greater and more current knowledge ... Do you think Ds actually win one of those races by 16 ?

(50,787 posts)I'm on the wrong side of the state. But I have a friend who is running for IA house seat and he's been talking to a lot of D, R, and Indy voters. He thinks we will break blue here. He sees a lot of dissatisfaction in voters.
I'm not so optimistic but that's just my nature. Regardless, I heading out the door to do some more canvassing!!
