People who register on-line should print off a confirmation, if there is one, and place it safely in a wallet or purse just in case...
Also, after a reasonable amount of time, one should check the status of their voter registration at the local electoral board. Some counties have this service on-line, as well. After checking the status, I would print that off as well and place it in a wallet or purse.
I have witnessed too many people who have thought that they were registered, only to find out that *something* happened. That's another thread.
