When we moved here in 1996 Clinton was President and Lawton Chiles was Governor.

(18,195 posts)4. I watched Bob Graham's 1st campaign from Miami, and voted for him each time. I'm glad I'm not there
anymore.
I remember being in an agricultural area north or west of town, and seeing a large sign promoting the land for sale - "Contact Jeb Bush, Realtor." My heart sank, and I knew the state was going to be manipulated into a morass of corrupt shit.
I'm glad I'm in San Francisco. The City's taken its knocks, but I can't imagine how I'd be getting on if I'd remained in Miami.
