(36,458 posts)But people tend to forget the civil rights movement was not even two generations ago. We are still dealing with the rabid segregationist racists. They had to stay undercover for a while but Trump gave them permission to come back out and raise their spawn as well as racists. Its very discouraging. The people my age went to the very first racially integrated schools. We experienced the change. Its very sad to see we havent gotten any farther

(47,132 posts)with many types of jobs, housing, and so on. People don't normally think of government contracting in racial segregation/discrimination issues but there are many companies here who have a major dividing line in the types of work and clients people can work on based on ancestral heritage, not citizenship, training, or experience.
If that's too cryptic for DUers to understand, these companies need a token US citizen to do things US citizens won't do and will completely lie to recruit one. They prefer one who looks like the hundreds of other folks who work those jobs to intentionally cause confusion about who is stealing jobs. Is it stealing if no Americans will apply?
More of these terrible companies are going out of business and being exposed online as they lose talent during labor shortage.
