Cherry blossom buds are halfway through their 6 stages.
We're 8 days ahead of last year at same time. We should cruise to peak bloom over the next 10 days.
Halfway there! The cherry blossoms have reached florets extended, the third of six stages on the path to peak bloom. Soon, we'll see some white petals emerge from the green florets.
