Colorado Springs road improvement measure to appear on November ballot

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - When Colorado Springs residents get their general election ballots, they will once again be asked to renew the 2C Road Improvement.

The voter-approved 0.57% sales tax provides funds to repave roads, repair potholes, and generally keep city roads in good condition.

First approved in 2015, city officials said the program has since allowed them to repave more than 1,600 lane miles, install more than 9,400 new and retrofitted pedestrian ramps, and replace almost 306 miles of curb and gutter and 3.6 million square feet of sidewalk.

Set to expire in December of 2025, renewal of the program will extend its life until 2035.
