Jim Crown died Sunday on a Woody Creek race track, on his 70th birthday.
The chairman and CEO of Henry Crown, and managing partner of Aspen Skiing Co., struck an impact barrier in a single-vehicle accident at the Aspen Motorsports Park in Woody Creek, according to the Pitkin County Coroners Office.
The official cause of death is pending autopsy, although multiple blunt force trauma is evident, the Coroners Office said in a statement. The manner is accident.

My favorite uncle's favorite quote is - once you turn 40, you should avoid situations where your ass might find itself above your head. Nothing good will happen.
Now that I'm well past that age, I have found those to be solid words to consider.
