She's on the sixth floor of a building over by Sac State, I am closer to Midtown, and on the ground floor.

The epicenter was less than 20 miles from me. Because I knew it was a land-based quake, however, I knew it would be scary but not disastrous

5. I felt in in Northern Sonoma county

Just before the quake my phone cranked out a klaxon alarm that scared the shit out of me! It was the USGS earthquake warning system. By the time I read the “duck and cover” warning on screen my bed was shaking. Gently, thank goodness. The tremors lasted for several seconds. No damage.

I think I am ~150 miles from the epicenter so that isn't a surprise.
