(47,640 posts)I lived through Loma Prieta and the Oakland Hills fire. I'll take earthquakes any day over fires.

(47,640 posts)That's from movies. The ground shakes. Things fall over, which can be very dangerous, but most buildings are fine. I'd rather deal with earthquakes than fires.

(31,964 posts)lot of people who experience earthquakes feel them from miles away. They have no clue. I was on top of a 6.0 not long ago. Shook like crazy.
