UPDATE (Friday, June 19, 1:58 p.m.)
LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- As of Friday, there are 14,631 total COVID-19 cases and 214 deaths in the state, according to state officials.
That is an increase of 703 new cases and six deaths from Thursday.
UPDATE (Thursday, June 18, 3:02 p.m.)
FORT SMITH, Ark.- As of Thursday afternoon, there are 13,928 total COVID-19 cases and 208 deaths, according to Governor Asa Hutchinson.
That is an increase of 322 cases and 11 deaths from Wednesday.

They have no reason to get checked.

Tough to stop a contagion when it is as though the entire state is surrounded by Brazil.
Uruguay' northern land border is Brazil where the contagion rages.
Uruguay's first case was reported just days after Arkansas.
The two places are close in area, population and density.
Uruguay reports 850 cases total confirmed (Arkansas does more testing), 20 currently sick with 4 in ICU, 24 dead.
Masks and distancing do work.
