He was a lieutenant in a service uniform ("A"?) in that picture.

In today's appearance, he is a captain in dress blues. See video posted below.

did you watch the whole show??? Even during the final Jeopardy question, his answer even his demeanor was a tad weird to us. Did you see it?? I’ve got it on DVR, I’m gonna watch it again.

I get what you're saying about the blue/black uniform and the Sam Browne belt, but that's not that uncommon for a military uniform.

Only thing not seen is the hat. He is properly dressed for an active duty Marine at a civilian event. I have seen thousands of these on and off base.

I hadn't seen before, I only remember dress blues. He was articulate, intelligent and thanked the staff members of Jeopardy for being helpful. I ended up rooting for him, The black uniforms may not be the best, but don't take it out on him.

The Corp has the best uniforms, hands down. He just looks like a Marine. There is a difference in the stance, posture and demeanor of the Corp. Even in civvies they kind of stand out.

My father in law was a career Marine.

The Marine dress blue uniform coat is black, or very dark blue. The trousers are usually white or light blue with a red stripe down each leg.

None of the U.S. military's uniforms look very much like Nazi uniforms, even bearing in mind that the uniform-obsessed Germans had uniforms for everything back in the day.
