You look good Peggy, about ready to get up and kick dumps ass and take pics of it for us.

...my heart went out to you. I had one for only 24 hours after an appendectomy for a ruptured, gangrenous appendix, and I've never been more miserable in my life. I've had 2 C-sections and 2 hip replacements, and I would happily repeat all 4 of those experiences rather then have another NG tube ever again. I told my husband not to visit me until it was out as I knew I wouldn't be able to pretend I felt OK just to keep him from being distressed by watching how crapy I felt with that damn thing in place.

I hope rehab is going reasonably smoothly.

Worst part of an emergency abdominal surgery I needed.

Prayers that you can rest more easily, Peggy, and maybe eat some real food soon! I still remember how happy I was getting some jello after the tube was removed 😁 ...

does being an ex-nurse make the experience better or worse? I can imagine it going both ways!

You look pretty damned good already.

And if misery loves company, commiserate with me. I just spent the last 6 days in ICU, myself.

Getting old really sucks.
