Of course, the produce here is really farm-fresh, compared to the supermarket stuff.
The flowers really grabbed me today! Those pink roses blew my mind.
Yup, they make me hungry too! I will be getting out of here shortly to make my dinner too!

That bumpy greenish blue plant is Kale! The texture really drew my eye.

I hope the hot weather sticks around a bit longer; we've had a very cloudy spring and early summer, and I am not ready for fall yet!

I love the flowers, but the kale is interesting. Can you get any closer to it? Could be a really eerie effect.
The kale really stopped me in my tracks! I could get closer now, but that would involve cropping. Is that what you meant?

I did have to crop it before doing anything. And this is the crop I chose:
I should have said cropping optional but this is what I was looking for!
It just looks so alien, I guess that's why I like these macros. 
It sure does look alien. Next time, I'll take more exposures on the spot. That will give me more options about how to treat it later.
I love the sense of bounty that I felt in that photo. So many bell peppers, so many colors!
The dinosaur kale (also known as lacinato kale) and acorn squashes are my faves.

I really don't enjoy eating kale, but getting a photo is altogether different. I had fun with that.
And the skin on the acorn squash! Wow, it took a lot of strength to cut it through. Tasted mighty good though.
