The flowers are so beautiful all by themselves, but they also soften the ancient stones quite a lot.

The old and the very new! A combination that never grows old.

I read elsewhere that the WH Rose garden is being bulldozed for a tennis court..unverified,however, but ruins and flowers surely come to mind.

I thought there was a tennis court already on the property.

Well, a real "heel "ought to know about such thorny issues.

I actually got goosebumps when I saw these photos.

We hit 3 old castles on the south/west side that are largely away from the tourist trail.

I like your taking us off of the beaten path. That's where things most often get interesting.

We go to a city and just wander around. Some times seeing the sights or not.
No plans, just wander.
