Love the memory you evoke of shopping downtown in those grand old department stores.

(6,148 posts)The grand old department stores had fabulous window showcases, especially for Christmas. I'm glad I was around to enjoy some of that grandeur.

Near the corner of the light-colored building, four stories up. You have to look closely through the branches.

On the right side of the photo. One quarter of the way down at the bottom section. The flag looks to be attached to the exterior side of the building. A dull gray day so not very promenent.

(6,148 posts)Most of the building was demolished to build the Marriott. We're fortunate that the facade was preserved and is a functioning part of the hotel.
