Is the purple flower some type of thistle? I love those and how they attract the wild finches

They weren't close enough to shoot with rain aproaching on my ride.
I'm sorry I didn't get the oxeyes on the way out when there was sun.

The bees were having a feeding frenzy with the Oxeyes.

I didn't know the name but found it with a flower search program.
