After a few days of bad air alerts, it’s been breezy here yesterday and today — still pretty warm, but the humidity is tolerable and the air quality is much improved.

But it would be hard to improve on the perfection of either the gorgeous lantana (the fractal flower I loved even before I knew its name) or this brilliant Allman Bros. tune, which has inspired me for more than 50 years.

Thank you for this oasis of beauty!

The heatwave here is expected to last through next Monday.
