Seeing the unseen

Last edited Thu Apr 11, 2024, 05:50 PM - Edit history (1)

I was quite bored with my eclipse photos of the sun with a bite out, so I envisioned seeing the unseen. What if we could see the little world passing before the sun? I took my all time favorite moon photo, dimmed it as though lit from earthshine, sized it to fit the arc from the eclipse, inserted it into the arc and produced a quick slideshow encompassing 1:20pm to 4:16pm in roughly 15 min increments.

Here is a teaser photo:

That, by itself, is amazing.

Now, onto the feature attraction!

ON EDIT: Wow! I found that by speeding up the progression, I could nearly see the motion the way it actually occurred. (I wish Andy could have seen this; he would have loved it.)

Thank You!

My default slideshow was 10 sec, I changed it to 5, maybe I'll change it to 2 and see if that works. I also tried making it brighter but it just blew out the sun too much
