Red Bud blooming on river walk today.

On Merced River about 20 miles downstream from Yosemite Valley.

Walked down a dirt road that goes to some campgrounds.

Maybe off topic but back in the day, we bought a different kind of “red bud”..sure didn’t look like these!

It's actually more widespread than that in California, mainly because people have planted it as an ornamental

The redbud is especially beautiful, with that color.
