practicing for the eclipse

Im in the path of totality although i havent decided my exact shooting location yet. either way i needed to buy a new solar filter since my old one was damaged. wanted to test it out

the sunspot near the top was responsible for several large solar flares over the past few days

Very impressive! I can't wait to see the photos you take of the eclipse.

We're within a few hours drive of the path of totality, and I've been trying to talk my husband into taking a little trip when the time comes. Fingers crossed!

What are you using.

I'm in Munch and we seldom get night events becasue of cloud cover. We expect an eclipse in August 2026.
