(7,371 posts)"Dancing With Ian" - that's the late Ian Whitcomb on accordion. Taken at a 1920s festival at the Homestead Museum in the City of Industry, CA awhile back. (He passed in 2020)
I had a computer disaster awhile back, ! lost about 500 GB of photos and music files when my hard drive crashed. I have a new one, and the photos still on my old drive I've been told are recoverable so at least I'm not hopelessly depressed about that, but that leads to temporary slim pickings from my archives.
I took this shot when i first got my digital camera and was experimenting with settings, and I took this photo in "paint" mode, hence the odd look. I hope it's acceptable!

(152,475 posts)That can really turn your life upside-down which is not a good thing.
I love your photo! It's more than acceptable, IMHO! Really lovely, and right in the spirit of this contest.

(7,371 posts)I have most of my photos backed up on exterior hard drives but a lot were on my computer because I had edited them through photoshop. But like I said the computer guy at the fix it store said they were recoverable, it's just going to cost about eighty dollars.
Your photo is nice also, well yours always are.
I hope you're enjoying the sunny day we are having!

(32,140 posts)the contest as you chose the theme! Please remove your entry. Winners of contests are not allowed to enter the contest for which they choose the next theme as it would be considered an unfair advantage. It is in the rules thread https://www.democraticunderground.com/103673624
