Well, right now it is dark, being nearly 7:30 pm. And it's cold and wet, since the rain has arrived. It's been raining most of the afternoon, and it promises to rain tonight and tomorrow, at the least.
My husband and I are snug in our warm home with plenty to eat and safe places to live in!
Thanks for your nice comments.

(152,475 posts)I love to share what beauty I see in this world. We all benefit from that.
And believe me, I AM staying dry and warm! We just got a new roof and it's working extremely well!

CaliforniaPeggy
(152,475 posts)Not sure how much rain we're supposed to get--maybe 4 inches.
And it's cold, by our standards anyway--in the 50's.

(95,305 posts)Apparently theres already been some flash floods. Im glad theres been pro-active evacuations here and there anyone along a river, from a trailer park to a homeless encampment, really needs to have moved out yesterday.
Honestly not sure what this means for us in our little valley, as water drainage seems to be good here as far as I know were more likely to be at risk for mudslides some day, but its hard to tell.
CaliforniaPeggy
(152,475 posts)I hope you and your little valley avoid all the bad things that could possibly happen as a result of this storm.
I know you're staying as safe as you can!
