I am sure there many scenes like this but it brings me to a little spot in Winona, Kansas. We used to dive past it on our Colorado vacations with our kids. That and that my long gone Grandmother was named Winona makes me sad smile. Anyway, this is beautiful.

I was mostly at the University of Idaho and Washington State University, both maybe ten miles from this pic.

One thing that is cool is right after harvest time with these big red-tailed hawks. With everything mowed down they just sit on the slopes at the top of hills waiting for any critter prey to move. They don't even have to fly to hunt it's so easy. I'm not kidding. You see them everywhere just maybe a mile apart.

The mayor is a gay man and the city council is majority female. Latah Co. is still blue as well.

Loved my time in Moscow and at the UI. Moscow was always a liberal spot in an otherwise conservative state.

Sadly now, the Aryan Nations appear to have spilled out of Rathdrum Prairie and filled the rest of the state.

There is such a different texture to them. I love all the photos you post! You have such a gift. Your pix are a welcome break from all the mayhem around us these days. Happy Holidays!

It does here, today. That's what it looks like when a Chinook is passing through and pushing everything past you at high altitude. We have a few more stacked flying saucers going on at times but it looks like that.
