We had wooden silos similar to these. Curved tongue and groove wood with thick steel rings to hold it all together.

Silage was blown in. Had to move the pipe from silo to silo. Climbed up the empty silo, shimmed across a wide board to the
silo window. Sitting about thirty feet up you had to pull the top of the pipe with a rope while not falling. Got my turns when I was about sixteen.
OSHA? Ha ha. Farm life; or death.
