(13 posts)Thanks for posting. My favorite song of his! So sad so many great musicians are passing. Listening to this as I go to bed. Just got home from seeing a young musician, Joshua Ray Walker! The baton passes 😭

(13 posts)The Youngbloods moved from New York to Northern California in 1967 and Young eventually settled in Marin County, where he lived until 1995, when his home in Point Reyes burned in a fire that tore through the region. Young penned the popular song “Ridgetop” about his beloved home.
In 2023, the Young documentary “High on a Ridgetop,” which was filmed in the early 1970s in the Bay Area, was screened at the Grammy Museum.

(21,309 posts)to have had such good music in our younger years. RIP Jesse Colin Young
And today's generations have minimal melodic compositions or genres. It pains me.

Ultimately, the loss of melody for today... sigh...

(468 posts)Their first two albums were killers. I still play a few of their songs.
Didn’t know Jesse was that old (83). Sad passing.
