I just reached town that morning from upstate NY --,.,,to visit my ex-wife, her husband and their then 3 year old son.
They asked if I wanted to go hear a blues band that night,,, at the museum. I said sure thing. But was a bit skeptical about the venue.
Freakin' a man, was I wrong !!!!!!!!
This guy is a national treasure....

on and on.. just blew me away..
I went up to the band stand after, said hi. hung for a bit. He was as gracious and down to earth as one could imagine.
And James Irvin is just a kick ass drummer---
Then a couple days later at-- there is kind of a crafts warehouse..they played outside at a festival...

(5,750 posts)They regularly play at AM Booth's Lumberyard. I pass by it most nights coming home from work at 11 local time. One of these days, when I free up some disposable cash, I plan on going in there. Maybe I can get back to you on how it was.

A few of their Youtubes are at the Lumberyard.
I really enjoyed Huntsville... My ex- lives downtown near the PUBLIX. Convenient.
But, they have to move to find a good public school for their now 5 year old.. maybe Madison. Said the school nearest them used to be really good but now isn't. ??
I used to live in memphis - late 60's....
