And, there are many, many to like.
It's so well crafted. Doesn't hurt to have Chaka in there.

Bur, I really missed the punch of the brass section.
Paul was doing it, but he could only use one hand so the low sax & trombone is missing. Trust me, I know the compromises of doing brass with one hand!
We did the Spencer Davis tune in a battle of the bands. We rotated the lead vocal line by line. And we broke down to a jazzy "Spooky" like thing after the second verse & I played a jazz piano thing.
We won everything that year, with this as our big production number. Made $1,800 for 3 songs!
If we got paid at that rate every gig, I'd have retired at 50!

The loser in the first round made $100,000, so we could have all made more lucrative choices, you were a musician because you loved it, not for the money, sure for the paycheck. At least that's my assumption and I just got up

But, I guess my point was that Battles Of The Bands are extremely lucrative.
We were a pretty well paid act, but none of us could have lived off of the 7 or 8 grand a year we made playing music. Strictly a hobby that had a net financial positive.

Always brought a smile to my face when this played on FM radio.
