I've got a trip planned next month for Portugal- first vacation in like forever -so have been prepping a little. Fado is some of the most beautiful music.

(62,626 posts)artists' real recordings, properly credited. They're using AI for both much of the art and the music, and asking people for donations for what they've "created" using AI trained on real artists' work.
If you look at the page on that channel showing thumbnails of all their videos you'll see clues that this is AI slop:
https://youtube.com/@cozycupmusic/videos
The newest AI video there is "POV: Tarantino Movie Soundtrack but it's a Western" and the second newest is "Madonna Orchestral Tribute | Epic Symphonic Covers Compilation."
Look down the page of thumbnails and video titles. The most common are supposedly Portuguese music - apparently without any real recordings by real artists - but the non-Portuguese clickbait videos include a wild assortment. Just a few: the Braveheart theme sounding like a music box, Halloween scream sounds, Victoria's Secret style in-store background music 2025, moody country & Americana ambience for lonely cowboys, etc. Various countries, various holidays.
Whoever has that channel, who supposedly is in Portugal, may particularly like fado. But they are not honoring the real artists who created this music with this AI slop.
If you would like to post Portuguese fado music here, please find real recordings by identified artists. These days, with so much AI slop out there, your safest way to avoid AI slop is to look for videos uploaded more than a few years ago, identifying the artist and the song/album.
I'm sorry there's so much AI slop around now. It's flooding YouTube and taking attention away from real artists for AI users looking for donations as well as whatever money they might make from ads, using AI tools that are harming the artists whose work was stolen to train the AI.
