A guitar giant doing an all instrumental Album, when he could gave recruited any singer he wanted. Just decided to work with Middleton and do instrumentals.
I always got a kick out of the album cover.
He's playing a Les Paul, but Jeff Beck & the Stratocaster were practically synonymous.
In fact, on an HBO special (80s) honoring Les Paul (who was there) Jeff was the only guy NOT using a Les Paul model. Even Clapton was using a LP!
Yet, here he is on this cover playing a Gibson.
