Paul Desmond was my dad's second favorite sax player. (Stan Getz was his fave.)
But, my dad was way into cool jazz so I heard this song regularly when I was really little.

On CDs the iconic cymbal work of the intro, prominent on discs, can barely be heard. Thanks for this outing.
