Someone else's album,? I never did that with our reel to reel. I did with cassettes. We taped ourselves singing with the reel to reel

I did dub a few albums, but good 1/4" tape was never cheap.
In those days I had both Roberts (Akai) and Grundig 7" Hi-Fi decks. Both were vacuum tube decks.
I have a nice working Tandberg deck on the shelf today, but it's more for display. If you can still find blank 1/4" tape these days it's $40+ a reel.
