I love seeing the younger Eagles here. I was lucky enough to see them in SF in the early 80's and they were beyond awesome. Got to see them again at NO Jazz Fest about 10 years ago. It was sad then to see that Frey was not himself, he looked old and his voice was so much weaker. He died just a few years after that and I wasn't very surprised. I was surprised by how strong the voices of the other members still were after all this time.

Here's to one of the pre-eminent rock bands ever!!

Them when they are no longer strong is sad. I saw Chuck Berry several times through the years and seeing him as an d man still trying to sing and do his moves was sad. He was just all sweaty and hoarse. Then there are those like Rod Stewert who can still do a good show because they adjust their act to age. Or Mick Jagger who is just still vital.
