Ben Orr had such a pleasant voice.
Wasn't exceptional in range or power, but just very easy to listen to him sing.

Were there any Cars songs that featured both Orr and Ocasek? I couldn't think of one.

I've been grooving with the Infinity/Evolution/Departure era of Journey, because I really love the combination of Rolie and Perry on vocals. But I couldn't think of a similar situation with the Cars.

...a shared lead vocal.
I also really liked Infinity because of the contrast in the voices.
The later stuff, dominated by Perry, not so much. The songs weren't as interesting to me because everything became a showcase for Steve's voice.
As I'm thinking about it, the shared lead vocal on the same song is darned rare.
Alice In Chains comes immediately to mind. Queen did a few. So did Utopia.
I'm not even sure that CSN ever did it.
But, it seems most bands with multiple lead singers are simply trading off song by song.
Great topic, doc!
