Music Appreciation
Related: About this forumDown memory lane: One early summer evening, while driving Ocean Drive, these two songs came on back to back.
Cream - Tales of Brave Ulysses from their second album, Disraeli Gears, released in 1967. Though the concept was not new as Chet Atkins made a similar device in the 1950s, the first wah wah pedal was created in Nov 1966, so this was new to us.....
The Doors - Moonlight Drive from their second album, Strange Days, released in 1967
Maybe the memory was better than the actual event. You had to have been there.

(3,693 posts)A birthday present from my parents. I loved it. A couple of burn marks remain from the dorm years, but it still plays. Sadly, mostly NPR now.

(3,650 posts)And I've had drives and music mixes that stayed as memories of mystic. The Moody Blues in a car with sun roof singing Tuesday Afternoon on a Tuesday afternoon. Driving a VW camp mobile going home from work late at night listening to Zappas Joe's Garage and yeah it means nothing to those that weren't there.

(3,693 posts)Jethro Tull has always been a favorite. Probably number 1 of all time. Saw them a few times. Got me interested in Celtic Folk-Rock.
