Typically 7 time is played with 4 time and an added waltz time. [1,2,3,4] [1,2,3]. Like Brubek's Blue Rondo a la Turk.
This is played [1,2] [3,4,5] [6,7]
Gives it a much more Latin feel.
Very cool.

There's no "usual" with 7; 322 223 232 are all used.

You could argue this one is 2221:

I agree.
We disagree that there is not a typical approach to 7/4 time. There is a more commonly used pattern,.
Back to agreeing: BRAT is in 9/8 time. I misspoke.
