Always assumed it was Jerry, but apparently Jerry mostly just wanted to play and hang out. Watched some interviews with Trey Anastasio at the time he was learning and practicing with Phil and Bobby for the Fare Thee Well shows and he talked a lot about Phil's drive, firm direction, and leadership.

3. IMHO, Phil and Bill laid the foundation. Bob, Jerry, Keith, and Brent played around on it.

6. Sounds like Jerry doing the vocals, I could be wrong, though.

I forgot Phish is doing a 3 day run, starting tonight, to raise money for their foundation. Just looked at the setlist and they opened with Box of Rain. They don’t do Dead covers. The last one was Lady With a Fan/Terrapin on the 3rd anniversary of Jerry’s death.
I know Phil was a huge influence on Mike and Trey loved him from the time they spent together. Wow.
