So much items for the Day of the Dead are from China. Even when looking for stuff here in Tucson. China, China, China !

If I was physically able to go to Nogales, I might find some...

3. Day of the Dead sterling silver skull

buying a sterling silver artwork piece.

spot price of silver is 21.96 on 21 may for .999 fine/purity.

times .925 purity would be 20.313 per oz.

15 oz of .925 would be $304.70

this silver skull is only worth $304.70 melt down value.

but they will only let you buy 5 of them? at $1,229 each?

for that much markup for the 'artistic' value, I would let you buy them by the dozen.

actually, i would look for a plastic/tin skull and then buy the actual silver to get many more oz of it.

the spirits of the dead will have to make do and be happy with it.

many 'collectible' silver coins seem to be selling one oz from $25 to $40.

Looks like you can have some fun with those. I have made lots day of the dead jewelry. Just made up a bunch of little earrings to put in my showcase at the Antique mall. My daughter in law said the day of Dead earrings will probably sell first. Also made some evil eye earrings. They are good sellers.

Covid has canceled it recently.
Going to have a fancy necklace, hopefully be able to do face paint and join the procession!
