Georgia T-shirt art contest at this year's Youth Birding Competition
I get Georgia Wild newsletter once a month in my email and this edition had beautiful artwork by very young students. Almost too good to believe with the talent. And I wonder how much help they got.

A Cobb County teen’s richly colored drawing of red-breasted mergansers landed two blue ribbons in the T-shirt art contest at this year’s Youth Birding Competition. The entry by Erin Moore, 14, a student at Walton High in Marietta, led the 163 submissions from schools, after-school programs and nature centers statewide, winning grand prize and the high school division.

And I saw that Five of the contest runners up were from the The Sabah Kinder Academy of Art and Design, quite an achievement for the school. So I looked it up and also wondered why all the runners up had Chinese names. The founder of the school herself is from Malaysia.
Here is her story:
Leng Kar, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The Sabah Kinder Academy of Art and Design was created to provide children K-12 the opportunity to explore their artistic talents, promote the value of art in their development, and appreciate all applications of art. After establishing the SKA Academy of Art and Design in 2006, teaching and volunteering in the community made me realize that our students, volunteers, and staff could positively impact others through service. So. the Together We Can Foundation was established and has started numerous service projects that impact local and global communities. Utilizing teams of passionate and committed students, staff, and volunteers through SKA and the around Georgia allowed us to successfully complete projects like the Adopt-A-Road Program and service trips to Nepal and Malaysia.
