NYC'r here.

There was a big Turner exhibit at The Museum of The Metropolitan of Art I'm 2008. I don't think I saw that.
But...
I have some vague memory (though nothing immediately turned up on Google) of seeing Turner there in the ?very late 60's, or very early '70's.

Whether what I saw were part of their permanent holdings, or part of a temporary exhibit; may have been a sunset, or two, plus The Burning of The House of Parliment.

Mostly, I remember orange-reds, oranges, orange-yellows, and yellows of the paintings which would indicate the type of paintings I described.

And it was like; wow! 👍

I've visited DC - National Gallery, The Women's Museum

Philadelphia - The Philadelphia Art Museum
(is that it's official name? 😄

SF - An art museum in Golden Gate Park

IF I make it to Chicago, I'll go to their Art Museum(s)
