need ebay help !

I had someone buy an item from me over night , only to check my messages and see one from the buyer saying 'ive decided I don't want the item please issue a refund'...

this item has already been paid for and ive already been issued fees from ebay for the sale...

is there a way to issue a refund and get rid of the fees or will I have to pay the fees no matter what if I issue a refund?
aren't all sales final since you are warned multiple times to be sure u want an item before committing?

confused as to what to do ? please help?

Being seller has really changed for the worse on eBay. I have been trading there since 1999.

There is a way. You have to send a cancel auction notice. Email them and tell them that you will send one. They must agree to cancel it. Once they do so, you get your fees back, you issue their refund, and you can relist it. Now the only downside is that they can, if they so choose, leave your a negative feedback if they want to be an ass.

So far I have not had anyone be so petty as I am doing them the favor. The auction bid is a binding business contract, true, however, eBay continuously sides with buyers over sellers. With the new changes coming this summer, I may stop selling there completely. I have already minimized my sales greatly over the last 5 years.

you have to keep excellent records all of communications. So be sure to use eBay's messaging system and not just emailing buyers directly.

It also helps if you have a longer history with eBay and if you have high positives for previous sales. New sellers are getting screwed left and right.

this was done with the 'buy it now' option ..

it totally asks you several times to be sure you want the item...

I cant help but think the person cant possibly be this moronic and is just doing this to be an ass (never had any intention of buying anything from anyone).

happen to know where to find the 'cancel auction notice' ?

ebay used to be seller friendly, but no more. You could go around and around with this buyer for weeks and drive yourself nuts, only to have him leave you a negative feedback. ebay may or may not agree to retract the negative . . . you can't count on it. Been there, done that.
