Busy week for me

2 weeks ago, I brought several boxes of stuff from my rental unit. Everything has been stored for awhile, so I sort boxes and use fresh paper to rewrap what I decide to bring home. I found the rest of the 300 sets of salt and pepper sets I bought from my neighbor 10 or 11 years ago. I brought them home to put with the several boxes here. I'm lucky that my rental is just down the street from my house.
When I got back to the house, I unloaded the car. I like using Google Lens to see if I can find comps. Most of the stuff I'm picking out might sell in my booth. If something I unpacked has value, I don't put it in. I spent several days researching. I unpacked a vintage ashtray advertising a local business. I am a member of a local memories group on fb. I wanted to get an idea of when the place was in business, and got a lot of responses. Someone private messaged me and asked me if I were going to sell it. He was friends with the business owner's son and thought he'd like to have it. When a situation like that comes up, it gives me a lot of pleasure to gift the piece. Five dollars? Or priceless? I met the guy Monday and gave it to him. He texted that he gave it to his friend, who is very happy. The added bonus here is that the guy is a Dem in this red desert and we are now friends on fb!
Over this last weekend, I started adding things to my inventory. I added 86 things. The next step was washing, polishing, printing tags, taping the tags on and all that. I have 22 things ready to go into the booth when I need them.
The vintage mall I'm in is having the holiday open house, starting today and running through the weekend. We usually do pretty good. I don't like getting ready for Christmas on Halloween, but by golly, I was in there Wed. and Th. getting ready for the fall and winter holidays. I got done what I planned to and from here to Christmas, I'll add more holiday things as I find room.
I have a small white Christmas tree. I planned to use it to display ornaments and toys, but I felt like I didn't have the space on the surfaces to do that. I have a vintage clothes drying rack on the wall to display clothing. The tree has a stand attached, so I turned it upside down and hung it from the rack. Very soiid and had I remembered to bring ornament hooks, I would have had it fully decorated. But it's a start!
I also stopped out at my friends' house. They are retiring to Ca. and having a moving sale. I bought a few things and offered some advice on researching some of the things they have.
Today, i am taking it easy and catching up with my chores. I think the work I'm choosing to do is keeping me from being a nervous wreck the next few days.

Happy Friday! Happy November!
