Anyone have experience selling musical instruments through Reverb ? Better/worse than eBay, and how ?
An acquaintance of mine was selling a clarinet on Reberb a while back, but I haven't had the chance to ask him about it since. My own selling experience is limited to eBay, mostly selling leftover RAM and CPUs left over after upgrades. I've never sold a really expensive ( K$ ) item and I'm nervous about doing so. I have a number of items to sell and don't want to regret my choice of intermediary. And would definitely like to know of experiences with lost items and insurance claims -- what's the best way to safeguard against abuses and cons* ?
*Yeah, I know, decline any request to ship to Mar-a-Largo. Other than that, I mean.

(17,880 posts)Many of their sellers are physical storefronts but individuals can sell items as well. I've bought from reverb before and it's always been very smooth. I don't have any experience selling on the site though, but I'd image it's much like eBay.

(33 posts)I've never had a problem. About half were shipped and half were local and I either met up with the seller or picked the item up at a store.
