I worked on inventory again today
I was in my rental storage last week, and found a number of things to add to my booth. I spent today cleaning things, checking for damage. Sometimes, after the things are cleaned up, you see things. But there were no surprises. Some of the things had really stubborn tape, sticky on them. I finally got 3 pieces cleaned of all gunk. I found a chimney for a kerosene lamp. Points for me that I remembered where the chimneys were And I found replacement antennae for a small bisque snail. Very pleased with the result.

I did go to the first barn sale of the year and got a few good deals. Spent $1.75 that Ill price at about $25, with no work, other than washing some glasses.
I find it hard to get to the items that need work.
Last year I scored a large bag of zinc lids for fruit jars. Need to wash jars and match up lids for them. Have 3 stop lights that need some dings taken out and painted. Itll be warm enough to do some painting pretty soon.

(26,495 posts)For every piece we find ready to go, there are 3 or 4 more that need some work. We keep putting that off...again. My sister and I need more discipline: either commit to finishing the project or donate it. Habitat still has houses to build and Humane has lots of animals to re-home.

(19,323 posts)but last week, I had a run of good luck. I'm mostly selling smalls, and everything I came across had survived long storage. We really are caretakers

(26,495 posts)having a storage shed sale. We have a good bit...some nice chairs that need refinishing, etc. It would probably be worth someone's time, and we would sell cheap.

(19,323 posts)When I'm working on my stuff, I'm thinking good thoughts I'll never be like the less-is-more maven who suggested taking pictures of beloved objects and getting rid of the beloved object, so you have no clutter. That's just crazy!
Speaking of r's, I finally found a wingnut that fits a wood tennios racket protector I want to sell. Found the wingnut in a box of junk in the basement. If that isn't a political comment, I don't know what is! lol
