This Coca cola bottle really worth $999?

Looked around on the web and couldn't find another example, think I might know where one's at,
have no idea if the one I'm thinking about has the same markings but it is a dark green one.
Thoughts on value anyone?

Always a hard question. Get 5 appraisals and get 5 different numbers. Priced at $999 but hasn’t sold yet. If it does sell, that person has one and the next may only pay $100 less. Then at a big auction of collectors, it may go for twice that.
What’s it worth?
If you love it, keep it.

I only go by Sold items. Fugue in shipping, then I have a better idea on pricing an item.

but like I said I couldn't find any examples on line anywhere, found some clear ones but no dark green ones,
one problem is even though it's marked Coca Cola on the bottom, it's their off brand called soda water.
Do Coke collectors collect the off brands?

Find items I can't find any info on. I pretty much buy to sell and only have a few items I've kept. Some 1960s rock and roll posters and a few things I've found relating to a famous 3rd cousin.
So, I let my wife list them for auction starting at a very low price and see where they go.
My hobby business is mostly for fun and I'm trilled when I do get a big hit. I recently bought a lighted gas station sign for $30 and sold it for $220. it sold the first day in the mall. I do lots of items I find for a nickel to a dollar for $5 to $20. Have sold lots of bottles that way. Records too. I have a tool now that I bought for a nickel that says General Electric on it. Can't find anything on eBay or other sites. I did see lots General Electric items that have value because of the name. Might have my wife put it on eBay or just put it in the mall for $10. I'll keep searching for a while.
Good luck and have fun and keep looking.

Once upon a time I had lots of ebay listings, but was going through a move and for an extended period, things were difficult to locate (which box where?) and the easiest way for me to handle the situation--that is, to ensure nobody bought my items--was to up the price into fantasy land. That way, the listing stayed active and it was easy to revise when I was ready to sell again.

The funny thing is I never got around to getting back into the rhythm of selling, so those listings may still be up.....

Just one real-world anecdote.

Hasn't listed in while, so now they may lower her ratting. You have a good idea, and if it does sell she can make a killing.
Thanks

Recently saw a comment in a antique group I'm in (Talking Antiques, on fb) that if you can't find what you have online, you can set the price at what you want.

I don't know if the value is inflated, or wishful. Bottles weren't going very good for awhile, and now they seem more popular. Are you going to buy the off brand Coke bottle?

Did notice there was like 8 people who was watching that bottle which is a good sign. I need to invite Johnny out
for a beer, used to get together about every 2 or 3 months prior to covid so we're long overdue to catch up on
things. He's got several bottles on the top shelf in his machinery shed and it's been at least 10 years since I've
looked at them, hopefully one is the dark green one. Right before covid he mentioned about some of his
grandmother's dishes that was packed away, I might wait until warmer weather to go out to his farm, no heat in
any out buildings.

My husband collected bottles and when we lived in the country, we discovered a couple of bottle dumps that we dug. Nothing fabulous, but we had a lot of fun. I have most of his collection wrapped up in the basement. We found a lot of old beer bottles, maybe by now 100 years old.

If you get stuff from the cold, let it warm up gradually, maybe avoid breakage. You're tempting me to go have a look

"Big Chief was an early flavors soda. I don't think it was ever a product of Coca-Cola. However, many of the bottlers obtained the Coca-Cola franchise, thus many of the bottles may contain the "Property of Coca-Cola" line near the bottom of the bottle. There was a vast variety of the bottles with differences in height, facial features of Indian, writing, etc. This was probably due to each bottler obtained his own bottles, so there wasn't any standard bottle. Most bottles that I have seen are clear glass, the early ones were thick glass and quite heavy. Petretti shows one bottle that is light green. Bottles were very durable.

Read both articles, lots of good information. Never thought of it being a Big Chief product and was worth
checking into. Top link doesn't list Hutchinson Ks, one on ebay is from there. More I think about it the seller
on ebay has a lot of wishful thinking, although he does seem to have a rare bottle. Also wishful thinking
on my part my buddy has the exact same one.
