I found a 1935 Mercury Dime stamped onto a (tails) Penny, likely the same year in my cash box today.

I believe this is called a double denomination and a Wrong Planchet Error Coin.

Does anyone have any information and/or history about this aberration?

I think it's cool.

They have guys there that are specialists in error strikes, and could probably give you a ballpark value.

thats very rare.
what condition is it in?
worn and circulated or very good?
do you want to keep it or sell it?
suggest you have it graded.
it could easily be worth hundreds to thousands depending on condition
